In Defense of Narendra Modi

Clip_136Recently, India’s most well-known film script-writer Salim Khan (actor Salman  Khan’s father) has said to a senior journalist in an interview:

“Does anyone remember who the chief minister of Maharashtra was during
the Bombay riots which were no less deadly than the Gujarat riots of  2002?

Does anyone recall the name of the chief minister of UP during
Malliana and Meerut riots or that of the Bihar CM when the Bhagalpur
or Jamshedpur riots under Congress regimes took place?

Do we hear names of earlier chief ministers of Gujarat under whose charge,
hundreds of riots took place in post-Independence India?

Does anyone remember who was in-charge of Delhi’s security when the 1984
massacre of Sikhs took place in the capital of India?

How come Narendra Modi has been singled out as the Devil Incarnate as if
he personally carried out all the killings during the riots of 2002?

No speck of doubt about what Salim Khan has said.

When one says Gujarat’s agriculture growth is 10-11% since whole
last decade.
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says he made the Asia’s biggest solar plant,
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says Gujarat is the only state in the whole of India to
provide 24*7 and 365 days electricity to almost all of its 18,000
villages,
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says – World Bank’s statement of 2011 said, Gujarat
roads are equivalent to international standards,
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says Gujarat is the first State in country to have
“high speed wireless Broadband service in its all 18,000 villages,
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says Forbes Magazine rated Ahmadabad as the fastest
growing city in India and 3rd in the world,
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says Gujarat Tourism is growing faster than ever before,
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says according to central govt’s Labour Bureau’s report, Gujarat has the lowest unemployment rate in country,
The other says 2002 Riots!

When Narendra Modi is being chosen as the best current Indian leader in
almost all surveys & polls again and again
The other says 2002 Riots!

When one says 2003-2013 are the only 10 straight years in
Gujarat history which are totally riot-free,
The other STILL says 2002 Riots!

13631_207943808504_132344718504_3217467_952645_nDo you know the richest city of India?

Surat –  The richest (1)

Ahmadabad – 5th richest

Surat is the richest city in India.

According to the August 8 , 2010 report of the National Council of Applied  Economic Research, the richest city in India is now Surat, ahead of  Bangalore and Chennai, with an average annual household income of Rs 0.45  million (over  $11,000 per year).

80 per cent of all diamonds sold in any part of the world are polished in Surat ‘s 10,000 diamond units.

The only non-Jews in the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem diamond bourse (stock exchange) are Guraratis.

Between 2004-5 and 2008-10 Surat ‘s middle class doubled in size and its poor reduced by a third.

The fifth richest city in India is now Ahmadabad , ahead of Bombay and Delhi, and miles ahead of Calcutta.

The percentage of man-days (labor class, manual labor workers etc). lost  in Gujarat due to labour unrest is 0.42 percent.

The percentage of man-days (labour class, manual labor workers) lost  in Gujarat due to labour unrest is 0.42 per cent, the lowest in India. Gujaratis do not believe in meaningless strikes.

Of Gujarat’s 18,048 villages, 17,940 have electricity. CM Narendra Modi has been voted as one of the most dynamic, hard working political leaders in the country. You can see why. Amma, Didi, Behnji   Manmohan can do well to take a leaf from Modi’s book of excellence.

The world’s largest oil refinery is in Jamnagar. Owned by Reliance, it already refines 660,000 barrels of oil every day and will double that this year.

Thirty percent of India’s cotton is grown in Gujarat.

Gujarat thus employs at least 0.7 million people.

The world’s third largest denim manufacturer (for your trusty jeans) is   Ahmedabad’s  Arvind Mills.

The state of Gujarat’s GDP has been growing at 12 percent a year for the last 12 years, as fast as China’s.

India’s wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance, is a Gujarati. Forbes  says he is the world’s fifth richest man, worth $43 billion. Azim Premji of Wipro, is also a Gujarati.

He is the world’s 21st richest man, worth $17 billion.

Ten of the 25 richest Indians are Gujaratis.  Some of the best shrewdest  business communities in India have proud Gujarati Ancestry.

Parsis, Jains, Memons, Banias, Khojas and Bohras – all speak Gujarati.

The two great leaders of the subcontinent, the Mahatma and the Quaid, were  both Gujaratis from trading communities.  One a Bania, the other a Khoja.

Gujaratis number 55 million, five percent of India’s population living on   six percent of surface area, but hold 30 per cent of all Indian stock.

Gujaratis account for 16 percent of all Indian exports and 17 percent of GDP.

Modi Donating Gifts

IMG_0326BJP supporters claim Narendra Modi is an able administrator but they say what people are unaware of is that somewhere in his heart lies a man who thinks about poor and goes an extra mile to do something for them. Every year, according to them, Narendra Modi donates gifts which he gets from his well wishers, to the Government treasury.

Recently, he donated about 3,064 gifts worth approximately Rs 26.54 lakh. The gifts included 103 gold and silver artefacts valued at Rs 14.81 lakh, besides watches, mementos, coins, medals, metal and wooden handicrafts, photo frames, swords, and traditional and tribal attires. Not only this, these items will be auctioned to raise funds for the State welfare schemes. This is the 13th time Modi has done so.

He has been regularly donating since November 2001.

According to various reports, he has earlier donated Rs 18.91 crore to the Government treasury. The amount raised through the auction of 15,464 gifts he had received between November 2001 and December 2013. This totals to 18,710 gifts so far. The auctions are held in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Mehsana, Rajkot, Valsad, Vapi, Bhavnagar, Bharuch and Anand.

Incidentally, Narendra Modi happens to be the only Chief Minister in India who has been regularly donating gifts he had been receiving for some noble cause. The sum raised through auction goes for the welfare for the girl child education, called Kanya Kelavni Nidhi.

One Response

  1. Since When Two Inhumane and Immoral Wrongs Have Created A Single Humane Right?

The author of the post has given information and data to support his indefensible paralyzed argument, without giving the reliable and valid reference to support such claim. as if naming the source as World Bank or Forbes (both Western and Caucasian in their origin) would successfully wash away the need for a ‘proper and valid’ reference, because of the ‘Indian lust’ for everything ‘light skinned Western-Caucasian’.

Even for an arguments sake if it is agreed that World Bank and Forbes would provide absolutely correct information-data eulogizing Modi, what about the same ‘Western Caucasian’ sources like that of EU and the UNO condemning Modi and his administration/executive along with his party member/supporters during the ‘Pogrom’ of 2002? Was it an ‘International Western Caucasian Christian Conspiracy’ then, against India and Hindu?? Let us put this practical-pertinent question to ourselves with an open and honest mind!!.

Regarding the information-data about riots held during Congress(I) rule, can it be denied/disputed in any way the role of Hindoo Mahasabha, RSSS, or in later times BJP/VHP/Bajrang Dal/Shiv Senaa member/supporters in the successive chain of riots. Of course ruling Congress(I) having recourse to every administrative-executive governing machinery always provided the ‘tacit hand in glove support’ to the rioteers.

Jamshedpur as far as known had ceased to become a part of Bengal, long before CPI(M) came to power, so the information/data provided is thoroughly incorrect. And moreover images and photo’s of ‘The Great Bengal Famine of 1943′ fails to create any practical-logical connection with the topic of discussion.

Praying for an open-clean-biasless-honest mind for all.

    With Regards
